So this is what I wore today for a nice little barbeque down at the beach today. The Front is lovely for evening relaxation because the tide comes right up to the steps so you can literally sit by the waters edge without getting wet and watch the sunset leaving a hazy golden-rose sky. If you live on the island of Jersey, try it sometime or if you don't, visit! Enough of the descriptive persuasive writing, this is no tourist advertisement.

I get easily inspired looking through lookbook and have seen that denim coats are becoming extremely popular. I'm determined to either get a denim jacket from a charity shop and cut off the sleeves to turn it into a denim waist coat or buy one from Rokit for £35. I've found one which I adore, yet it does seem like it should be in the womens section rather than the mens.
That's the story of the day, hope you're all happy holidaying or simply having a nice start to the week!

peace out

So today I kind of went slightly off track from my revision timetable. Biology notes started but then a book got the better of me, which eventually led to looking through family photos that dated from 1982 up to today. I was in search of photos from my parents when they were around in their 20s so I could enter anything I found of them in a little competition that Urban Outfitters are holding. At the end of the day I came to find that it was for over 18s only which was a disappointed (the prize was a copy of 'My Parents Were Awesome' based on this blog: http://myparentswereawesome.tumblr.com/ and £500 to spend online and I'm really desperate for new clothes!), so you could say that competition was my inspiration for this post. The day provided successful and found two photos which I adore and will cherish forever. One is of my mum on a boat in Singapore which is my fave of her and the other is of my sisters and half brother in Switzerland in the snow. I wasn't able to find any of my dad which stood out and none of me either except for really goofy looking ones and they're best to myself.

peace out

DAYDREAMS

Found the memory card containing the pictures of my American Road Trip from last summer in the 'photoframe' if that's what it's called? Been meaning to blog about it for a while and just scanned through them, reminding me how close summer is and was. It seems like I'm going to do it all over again, another month in America just with the rents being confined to vast wilderness and the occasional cities and the stereotypically American towns along the way. It was kind of comforting having limited leg room and being stuck between luggage for, at the most, six hours in one day in the Ford SUV that traveled at least 10,000 km, watching the world pass by and falling asleep, then waking up to a totally different landscape. The journey took us in a loop. We started in Denver CO, went up through Yellowstone National Park, then to Seattle WA, down to San Fran and onto LA. From there we headed to Las Vegas NV and then back to Denver through the Navajo tribal land in Arizona.   Definitely want to do it again when I'm older, though next time appreciating it rather than being a typical teenager and hoping it would be over soon.

peace out
